A Family Recipe, A True Passion for Baking

Some of the best recipes aren’t just written—they’re created through love, tradition, and a little bit of trial and error. That’s exactly how Neema’s Dessert Palace was born. It all started when JoeAnn, affectionately known as Grandma Jo, discovered a family pound cake recipe from her aunt and grandmother. Despite following it to the letter, something wasn’t quite right. Determined to perfect it, she made her own adjustments, and the result was nothing short of magical. The improved recipe became a household favorite, loved by friends and family alike.

Seeing the joy that her mom’s pound cake brought to others, Jeneen (aka Neen) was inspired to dive into the world of baking herself. She began experimenting with banana pudding, cupcakes, cookies, and more, quickly developing a passion for creating sweet treats. Teaming up with her mom, she decided to turn their love for baking into a business—and thus, Neema’s Dessert Palace was born. Today, their bakery continues to serve up homemade delights to the Minneapolis and Saint Paul areas, sharing the same love and tradition that started it all.
